The liquid ring vacuum pumps are designed and built for heavy duty, wet and humid applications under the most difficult conditions, even on highly saturated vapors or solid particles occur in the inlet stream.

Liquid ring pump has impellers and utilize rotating positive displacement technology and are typically used in wet vacuum applications. Any liquid compatible with the process can be used as the sealant liquid but the most common sealant is water. The second most common is oil. Since oil has a very low vapor pressure, oil-sealed liquid ring vacuum pumps are typically air-cooled.

The pump can be single or multi-stage or packaged . Typically a multi-stage pump will have up to two compression stages on a common shaft.
